Sugaring

Body Sugaring is a natural alternative to waxing.  It is a practice of skilled hair removal using a room temperature paste of sugar, lemon juice, and water.  Unlike waxing, it leaves no sticky residue, uses no artificial compounds, resins, fragrances, or other potentially caustic chemicals and leaves skin smooth. Our Esthetician's  do an amazing job!

Sugaring FAQ'S

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR A SUGARING TREATMENT?

*For best results, please allow hair to grow 7-10 days or between 1/8-1/4 of an inch prior to your appointment.

*Come to your appointment with clean, dry skin.

*Hydrate yourself well the day of your service.

*Do not wear any lotion, deodorant, oils, or any other skincare products on the area you intend to have sugared.

*Please avoid using perfume/cologne before your visit with us to maintain a fragrance free environment for others who may be very sensitive or allergic to them.

WHAT IS SUGARING HAIR REMOVAL?

Sugaring is a form of hair removal that removes the hair from the follicle in the natural direction of hair growth using a sugar paste.  The sugar paste is all natural made of sugar, lemon and water and has a consistency of taffy.

HOW IS THE SUGAR PASTE APPLIED?

A ball of sugar is used by your gloved beauty professional, and the sugar is a little warmer than room temperature.  The sugar pasted is molded into the hair follicle, opposite the direction of hair growth.  The sugar paste is then "flicked", in the natural direction of hair growth removing the entire hair from the follicle wall.  The same ball of sugar is used for entire area to be sugared.

IS SUGARING PAINFUL? DOES BODY SUGARING HURT AS MUCH AS WAXING?

Well, we are still pulling hair out from the root.  So, yes, it is a bit painful but most people find that it's less painful than waxing.  The pain is gone before you realized its happened.
